The Uukwaluudhi Safari lodge is ± 85km east from Opuwo and easily reached in a 2 x 4 sedan vehicle, but if your tour/route would take you into Kaokoland and Damaraland you might want to consider using a 4x4 vehicle, especially during the rainy season.

Waterberg Plateau Park is one of Namibia's national parks, located in central-northern Namibia, at the foot of Great Waterberg Plateau, 70 km east of the town of Otjiwarongo and half way between Windhoek and Etosha National Park. The Waterberg Plateau is one of the most prominent landmarks of the country, towering high above surrounding plains of eastern Namibia's Kalahari. Waterberg Plateau and around 400 km² of surrounding land were declared a Nature Reserve in 1972.

Waterberg Guest Farm, located next to magnificient Waterberg Plateau in north-central Namibia, with host family Schneider-Waterberg is Namibian destination for active relaxation. A substantial part of the famous Waterberg is situated on the ranch with accommodation facilities built on the slope of the Small Waterberg.
