Palmwag Lodge

Waving palms whispering in the wind, spectacular surroundings which harbour the famous desert elephant, the rare black rhino, giraffe, zebra, gemsbok and many other wild animal species, sunsets to dream of. This is Palmwag Lodge, one of Namibia's oldest and most popular tourist rendezvous.

The predator population is the largest outside of the Etosha National Park, with over 100 lions, cheetah, leopard, brown and spotted hyena. Bird life is prolific and diverse with most of Namibia's endemics present. This concession supports a healthy population of desert adapted black rhino and elephants, under the management of the Save the Rhino Trust.

We also boast a very cozy “pool bar” and lapa. Morning and afternoon game drives are offered daily. The well laid-out hiking trails let you enjoy and discover the neighbouring nature. With early booking, we offer guided full day excursions as well as overnight safaris through the breathtaking landscapes of the Damaraland.

To cater for the needs of campers and day visitors, the thatched pool bar under the palm trees at the swimming pool, where light meals and most drinks are available, is opened daily from mid morning until approximately 22h00.
