Suricate Tented Lodge

The Suricate Tented Lodge is located in 10 000 ha Intu Afrika Kalahari Game Reserve and is built on top of spectacular Kalahari red sand dune. The lodge overlooks the pans of Auob River wetlands in Kalahari Desert's south western region of southern Namibia.

Suricate Lodge's luxury tents combine unparalleled modern day comfort and ultimate African safari experience leaving deep impression on all lodge's guests.

There is total of 12 en-suite tents complete with mini bars, safes, mosquito nets, coffee/tea station and all the amenities usually found at the other upmarket lodges with the added benefit of an open-air en-suite bathroom and a view deck. One of the tents is a honeymoon suite, which is appropriately distanced from the other tents and has its own plunge pool for the romantic couple.

Suricate's main lodge area boasts a large deck overlooking the entire dry pan and babbling waters of the infinity pool that smooth any tension. All Suricate's guests can choose to have their meals in the common dining room with a built-in fireplace and bean bags for relaxation or to enjoy sumptuous dishes on the deck overlooking the pans.

Late evenings and nights can be spent enjoying starry Namibian skies with drinks served at the fire pit by friendly lodge staff, ready to assist you with planning your next day or with facilitating any activities you may want to enjoy.

This lodge is designed to induce pure relaxation from stresses of modern day urban life and many guests spend hours watching the variety of animals making their way through the surrounding plains during the day. Kalahari landscapes are breathtaking and during the rainy season lasting from January to March, offering the most incredible sights - various animals making paths through the muddy pans which fill up by blessed water this time of the year.

Suricate Lodge's guests are encouraged to spend more than one night at the lodge because of the variety of activities offered. You can explore the neighbouring lodges and choose to have dinner at one of the other Intu Afrika's lodges or to spoil yourself with the ever popular dune dinner.

All the activities on offer at Intu Afrika Game Reserve can be enjoyed at any of the lodges and the friendly staff efficiently facilitate it. All is done with pleasure, whether it is a game drive in an open-air 4×4 vehicle, sunset drive, quad bike excursion, an entertaining and educational walk with the Bushman hunter or just a massage.
